Poquoson Students Attend National Competition
PHS students Zachary Sever and Dillon Smith (shown here with their marketing teacher Marcus Nieves, center)
attended the Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) International Career Development Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah, from April 27 – May 1. The teens competed with DECA members from across the country and participated in leadership and team building activities. To earn the honor, they had to place within the top four in two categories at the state level. PEF awarded each student $600 to help defray trip expenses.
Elm Tree Planted at Poquoson Elementary School
on Arbor Day, April 27, 2012
The culminating activity of a grant funded by the Poquoson Education Foundation
was the planting of an elm tree, affectionately named Elmer, at the elementary school.

Hollywood Nights Gala

The second annual dinner and silent auction was a huge success,
 raising $13,226 to fund PEF scholarships and teacher grants.

Legacy Walk Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony
Phase One of the Legacy Walk in front of Poquoson High School is complete.

2011 Scholarships Awarded
The Poquoson Education Foundation presented scholarships totaling $10,000
to 10 PHS seniors at the annual Awards Ceremony on June 1.
