            $1,000 Kiwanis Club of Poquoson Scholarships (four)

Applicants will be judged on a 70 point scale according to the following:

  • Community involvement – 20 points
  • Activities – 15 points
  • Awards – 10 points
  • Need – 10 points
  • Essay – 5 points writing; 10 points content

Applicants must complete an essay on the following topic:

Kiwanis service clubs have been described as “a global organization of volunteers,dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.” What does changing the world one child and one community at a time mean to you?

 PEF/Kiwanis Club Mackenzie Clarke Scholarship

$1,000 provided by PEF and Kiwanis from the Mackenzie’s Run in honor of Mackenzie Grace Clarke.

 Please attach an essay of 500-1,000 words in response to the following question:

What significant challenge did you have to overcome to complete high school and get accepted into college?  You may plan to attend a four-year college, community college, or any other accredited post-high school program (nursing school, business school, New Horizons Program) to be considered for this scholarship.
